Sofa Refresh

When my clients moved into their home over a decade ago, the sofas were already there. They became a much-loved part of the home - the sizes were practical for family life, and the frames remained in excellent condition. However, years of use had taken their toll, with the internal foam losing support and the leather fading and breaking in places leaving the sofas looking tired. The original cushions were attached to the frame, making them difficult to clean and rotate. I detached them and created a new base, allowing the new cushions to be removed, rotated, and washed as needed. Wanting both comfort and a fabric suited to their skin sensitivities, my clients chose soft, breathable cotton in a beautiful plum colour. To refine the look, we added a piped edge for an elegant touch. Now, the sofas are not only beautifully refreshed but also far more practical and comfortable for everyday family life.
