Traditionally Upholstered Family Chair

This chair held deep sentimental value for my client, having been a cherished part of her childhood family home. However, years of wear and damage had left it tucked away, unused. Wanting to restore its presence in her home, she entrusted me with the fabric choice. Inspired by its history, I selected a rich berry red—a nod to the name of her childhood home, The Rowans. Using traditional upholstery methods, I carefully rebuilt and restored the chair, preserving its character while enhancing its comfort and durability. Now beautifully reupholstered, it’s both a functional piece and a heartfelt tribute to its past.
